I'm a sociologist and I teach traditional, honors and online courses at the College. I enjoy challenging students academically and I find great satisfaction in helping students open their minds to new ideas and new possibilities. I believe that everything and everyone are connected and that the best college education is one that fosters a respect for inquiry, a curiosity about the world and an ability to assess and appreciate different perspectives.
I'm married with two grown sons. When I'm not teaching, I'm usually relaxing with my husband at home in Connecticut. I enjoy reading and I'm an avid gardener - two very solitary, but extremely gratifying pursuits. I appreciate beauty and aesthetics and have a keen interest in interior design. Since I love to learn, I hope that one day I'll have the opportunity to do something that enables me to express myself creatively and artistically. Perhaps, my work with all of you will afford me that possibility.
