    The Aesthetics of Global Education

     Dr. Dwight Goodyear

     This session explores how art and aesthetic experience can play a fundamental role in global education.  We will consider how art can grant meaningful access to other cultures, how the aesthetics of a culture can help resist superficial appropriations of a culture, how art may provide access to universal truths, and how an aesthetic sense can foster a certain global consciousness that can prove helpful when dealing with many global problems.
