UPF : to reach peace, teach peace...

Project: A Million Acts of Kindness Group Members: Manuel, Mastaneh, Heidi (and Julio!!!) All works of love are works of peace; we’ve decided to cooperate with UPF the Universal Peace Federation and to participate in their program “A Million Acts of Service and Kindness.” Even with the bounty of food here in the United States, one of the most complex and serious problems is hunger. With today’s economy people need more help, and nutrition is a growing concern for every food bank, so we are arranging a food drive to collect non-perishable foods or donations for needy people.

 

Proposed steps to completion:
  • Planning and coordinating the food drive
  • Developing a flier describing the food drive and a sample food list
  • Contact store management to collect food donations or to request permission for collecting food  in front of the stores
  • The food drive itself will run over a two-week period
  • Setting a delivery date to the food bank recommended by UPF.
  • Using social media at WCC for publicity
  • Work on the Presentation
